This is why it's so important for the gun grabbing special interests to strike quickly after a tragedy. Socialists and low information voters require emotional stimulation to get motivated to support these knee jerk reactions. In order for these good intentions policies to get traction, the emotional tsunami has to be kept alive. With all emotion it soon dies off. The polls are starting to show this. Expect the gun grabbers and the main stream media go to great lengths to try and keep the emotions on this issue up. That's their only hope for successfully disarming law abiding citizens.

Correct. The more time that passes the less fresh the trauma is to the news weary public. I wish I could say that information and knowledge replace fear but it is not.
If people took the time to educate themselves one incident after another you would have a very well rounded society. For example, When one of my friends or family has to have a "Procedure" done, I take the time to educate myself on the procedure. Bypass surgery, knee and hip replacements and so on. When you understand the process and procedure you can more effectively deal with the end result.
Understanding irrational reactions to tragic happenings in our world takes empathy. I cannot imagine the pain of a parent called to any location following the tragic death of a loved one especially a child. I may strike out in any direction seeking any solution to my pain. Over time my reactions become more thoughtful, often times because of time, logic, and reasoning.
We all know that Guns don't kill people, but they are a very effective tool to facilitate that end. People who drink don't kill people either, but when they make the decision to get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, that vehicle and the intoxicated person often combine to facilitate a disaster. Persons who suffer a tragic loss from a drunk driver often blame the intoxicated person. Its not the intoxicant, or the vehicle, it is the intoxicated person behind the wheel that is to blame.
Firearms don't often get the chance at this kind of thinking. Seriously, think about it.
When someone is killed by a drunk/intoxicated driver, what gets blamed? The person who made the poor decision is blamed, Not the car, not the intoxicant, but the person behind the wheel.
If we insert logic into this discussion we would think that when a firearm is involved the person behind the weapon would be to blame. Logic rarely leads anyone to this conclusion immediately following a gun death.

the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

So maybe we shouldn't be surprised if we have another mass murder pretty soon to keep up the momentum?

Give it time, some nut job will pop up and the mindless progressive minions will scream again. If it takes too much longer, they will jack up some schmuck to do their dirty work.

Yeah, that's a lotta girl, there.
Yep back in '76, I was a young man IN LOVE, I tell ya. Come hell or high water I was gonna find a way to get Dorothy to run off with me. Then she married that nut-case Dino Martin. Like to broke my heart.

I wonder where she stands on guns...? I'm pretty sure I know where Judd stands on em.
